Oseltamivir, Tamiflu® equivalent is an antiviral medication that is used to treat flu symptoms caused by influenza virus by blocking the actions of influenza virus types A and B in your body – also effective in cases of swine flu.

Tamiflu is effective in patients who have had symptoms for less than two days or to prevent influenza in people who may have been exposed but are not yet presenting symptoms.

It will not treat the common cold.
